Only in Rotterdam more polluted streets

9 February 2007 - There are 52 streets in Amsterdam where air pollution exceeds European norms. The city occupies the second place on a list compiled by Milieudefensie (Friends of the Earth).

On the other hand, Amsterdam does have the most ambitious plans to improve air quality, according to the organisation. Only outside the A10 city ring, the city fails to make the necessary effort. Nationally, the number of polluted city streets has doubled in little more than a year.

The streets that fail to meet European norms are listed below:
