VVD banner from 16 euro

27 October 2006 – Campaign teams of the conservative VVD party can order their own banners from a commercial website. Local party branches are enthusiastic, says spokesperson Jef Wolters.

Candidates or branches can enter their name, with ‘... participates’ added. A small banner for behind the car window costs 16 euro, a four meter long one over 85 euro, including postage.

“In our search for suitable media we ran into this”, says Wolters. “We thought it was a good idea. It is in line with our campaign slogan: Participate!” Since the banners have only just been introduced, there is no information yet as to how many are being ordered.

The supplier does warn that the banners are not fire-resistant nor windproof.
